Detroit Fleet Organizes
Details the organizational meeting of the Detroit Thistle Fleet held December 15, 1946 at the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club. I.Louis Carron was elected Fleet Secretary. The fleet discussed membership in the Detroit River Yachting Association and decided to participate in D.R.Y.A. sanctioned races. Leadership expressed interest in the Thistle design for club use and planned to distribute promotional materials.
