Bad Weather Spoils Thirteenth Annual Frostbite Sweepstakes in Toledo, Ohio

Nine Thistles participated in the local championship race at Toledo Yacht Club on June 14, but rain, cold and high winds limited the event to one race instead of two. Sandy Douglass won first place, followed by John Lovett and Snell. The afternoon races were cancelled and prizes awarded on the basis of one race.
