Sherman Takes Florida District
Defending champion Ed Sherman Jr. of St. Petersburg parlayed fresh wind and choppy seas into a first and second place finish at the Florida State Thistle Class Sailing Championship. Sherman recorded multiple first-place finishes during the two-day competition and won with 50½ points.
