Samuel V. Merrick 1914-2000

Obituary of Samuel V. Merrick, one of the top Thistle sailors in the New Jersey district in the mid-1950s, placing third and second in the 1954 and 1957 National Championships. Merrick was best known for his work as Director of the US Olympic Yachting Committee in the early 1980s, helping develop the US Olympic team that won medals in every class at the 1984 Olympics.
