Comprehensive coverage of the 94-boat 2003 Thistle Nationals held at Fort Walton Yacht Club in Fort Walton Beach, Florida in August. Weather challenges plagued the event with frequent thunderstorms requiring multiple postponements, but all seven championship races were eventually completed. Brent Barbehenn (3921) won the national championship with his crew Chris Murphy and Scott Lennox, while David Hudson (3947) won the President's Division.
