The editor presents a second design proposal for an official Thistle Class burgee, suggested by Mr. Soderberg. This design will be considered alongside Ron Small's proposal for selection at the Association's Annual Meeting.

The editor discusses the Class Year Book production, clarifies burgee design sizing, and urges contributors to send in regatta stories and results. A Thistle Racing Calendar is introduced to help coordinate upcoming events across all regions.

A comprehensive schedule of Thistle Class racing events for the 1951 season, including social sailing weekends, district eliminations, regional regattas, and the National Championships in August.

The Lake Erie fleet reports on Cleveland Yachting Club's regatta, a novel joint racing event with Lightning class boats, and the addition of a new boat to the fleet. A correspondent is reporting from Washington, D.C. on competitive conditions for the National Championships.

Les Heyer reports on establishing Thistle sailing on the Hudson River near Ossining and Tarrytown, New York. The Flying Scots Fleet has been chartered with leadership from Dr. Robert M. Jardian. Heyer notes growing interest in the Thistle class and competition from the strong local Lightning fleet.

Bill Howe reports on Niagara Frontier District activities, including winter meetings, plans for inter-club Thistle racing throughout the 1951 season, and a well-attended Open House event hosted by Ed and Mrs. Hanna featuring films of past National Championships.

Three new fleets are reported: Fleet No. 39 (Manhasset Bay) with officers elected in March 1951, Fleet No. 40 in Pittsburgh recently completed, and Fleet No. 41 (Flying Scots) in the Hudson River area with its charter members announced.

The 1950 Annual Meeting approved chevrons for National, Inter-regional, Regional, and Fleet Championships. The Executive Committee decided these awards will be supplied by the Association and may be requisitioned from the National Secretary.

Ron Small announces the Long Island Sound District Eliminations will be held at Larchmont (July 14, 15, 21, and possibly 22) and at the ECYRA Regatta at Pine Orchard, Connecticut (August 3-5). Skippers may qualify via either or both series.

Stu Robinson announces the Lake Michigan District Eliminations will be held at the Racine Yacht Club on August 5th and 6th. All Thistles are invited; contact Bill Fraser for reservations.

Erwin McGuire announces two "Social Sailing" weekends in the Niagara Frontier District, combining friendly competition with social gatherings. The first is at Buffalo Yacht Club (June 23-24), and the second at Fairhaven Yacht Club (August 11-12).

A brief note about Howard Pinkley, who sails GHOST (170) at the Jolly Rogers Sailing Club in Toledo and has entered the Army. His military address is provided so members can correspond with him, and the editor invites other military-service members to submit their addresses.
