Charlie Krafft sailed his family heirloom boat Jo-Jo (635) to victory at the 2008 Central Atlantic District Championship held at Swift Creek Reservoir in Richmond. Despite extreme heat and light patchy winds that reduced turnout to only eight boats, the race committee successfully ran five races. Richmond sailor Bill Kitchens took third place, and the venue received praise for its excellent facilities.
